THE RESIDENCE AT QUARRY HILL

The Residence at Quarry Hill is an upscale assisted-living and memory care community in Burlington, Vermont, owned and operated by LCB Senior Living, LLC.

 

Platinum-LeChase served as construction manager-at-risk for the project, which posed a unique challenge at its outset in February 2015.  Built on an existing quarry, the project required blasting of more than 30,000 yards of native rock to complete the subgrade.

 

Today, the 2.7-acre site features walking paths and a scenic courtyard as well as a modern
four-story complex—completed in June 2016—that houses 102 studio, one-bedroom and
two-bedroom apartments and a second floor memory care wing.

 

The building is structural steel with a metal truss roof system and cold-formed metal framing

on the exterior. It also has a hollow precast concrete deck. A wood-and-brick

porte-cochère welcomes residents and guests at the building’s entry.

 

Inside, the Residence offers a variety of amenities including a full-service salon, a commercial laundry room, and a commercial kitchen that services two dining rooms: an open, two-story main dining area and a second dining room for the memory-care wing. Additional common areas include a theater, library, bistro and gym. 

 

Platinum LeChase is currently working on additional projects for LCB Senior Living,

a leading operator of independent, assisted and memory care living facilities in

New England and the Eastern United States.
