THE RESIDENCE AT ORCHARD GROVE

The Residence at Orchard Grove is one of several LCB Senior Living projects for which
Platinum-LeChase is acting as construction manager-at-risk. Located in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, the 80-apartment facility will include a mixture of studio, one-bedroom and 
two-bedroom apartments. When completed in the fall of 2017, it will accommodate independent, assisted-living and memory care residents as well as those needing temporary-stay solutions.

 

Construction on the $17 million project began in March 2016 with the removal of 10,000 cubic yards of rock from the site and stabilization of a 25-foot high slope behind the building. During site preparation, the project team also took measures to ensure the protection of adjacent wetlands.

 

The building itself is a three-story steel structure with poured concrete slabs. Its exterior façade will feature a combination of stone and cementitious material made to look like planking. An outdoor patio provides space for seasonal dining.

 

Inside, residents will have access to bright, open spaces in a variety of common areas. In addition to the dining hall serviced by a full commercial kitchen, the facility features cafes, a computer room, library and salon as well as entertainment, recreation and fitness areas.
